My Roommate

My roommate isn’t consistent in the way that he treats me.

Some nights he’ll want to sleep in my bed, other nights he’s very distant both physically and emotionally.

Some days he wants to hang out with no ulterior motive, but other days the only time he’s with me is when I can provide him something.

He sleeps all day and doesn’t have a job.

And for some reason I’m expected to pay for his bills and food?

He somehow still has the nerve to try to steal my own food, even when I feed him dinner myself.

He’s so determined to have me wait on him, in fact, that he’ll wake me up early by standing on my stomach and demanding that I feed him immediately.

He frequently poops and makes it my responsibility to clean it up.

Sometimes he’ll even throw up and make that my problem!

My roommate didn’t look where he was relaxing a couple of weeks ago and sat on my glasses, breaking them in the process. He left the room like nothing happened and didn’t offer to get them fixed for me.

He’ll violently start to hit my other roommate with no warning, just for having the “audacity” to take up the same space as him.

He also takes baths without soap and will often do it in the center of a room in the middle of the day with other people around (ew!)

When I’m trying to get work done, he’ll step on my laptop.

Meet my roommate, Ray:

This day two years ago, we adopted him. Happy gotcha day to my roommate and love!

*This is all in good fun, I love my roommate more than anything in this world
